Dermatologist with an interest in: Pigmentary Disorders, Dermatological and Laser Surgery, Eczema, Psoriasis
Dr Joseph Toh is a dermatologist at Parkway MediCentre, Singapore.
He is an accredited consultant dermatologist with the Specialist Accreditation Board of the Ministry of Health, Singapore, and is also a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
Dr Toh has subspecialty interests in pigmentary disorders, skin cancers, dermatologic and laser surgery, and biologic therapy for severe dermatitis such as refractory eczema, psoriasis and urticaria. As a skin specialist, he also has interest in minimally invasive aesthetic procedures.
In his practice, he treats both adult and paediatric patients, and manages all forms of skin diseases, hair and nail disorders, cosmetic conditions, and sexually transmitted infections. He is committed to helping his patients resolve their medical and aesthetic skin concerns, by providing personalised care plans.
Prior to private practice, Dr Toh served as associate consultant and member of the pigmentary disorders team at National Skin Centre. He was also a visiting consultant dermatologist to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
He graduated from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2012 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He attained his Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) from NUS and was admitted as a Member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom in 2015. He fulfilled his residency in Internal Medicine at Singapore General Hospital in 2017, and completed his specialist training and senior residency in Dermatology at National Skin Centre in 2021.
Dr Toh has keen interest in clinical research and has presented his studies at both regional and international dermatology conferences such as the World Congress of Dermatology, European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology Congress, and American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting. He has scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and British Journal of Dermatology.
He is a member of the Dermatological Society of Singapore and the Asian Society for Pigment Cell Research.
Dr Toh is passionate about medical education and is actively involved as a clinical teacher and faculty tutor for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students from NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and Duke-NUS Medical School.
Outside of work, Dr Joseph loves the thrill of hiking and traveling, and may be found in the great outdoors exploring the alps of Dolomites or Hida Mountains. But sunscreen is his hiking buddy – no compromises.
