Experience
Dr K. Vellayappan is a paediatrician at the International Baby Child & Adolescent Clinic (IBCA Clinic) at Parkway MediCentre, Singapore.
Dr Vellayappan pursued his medical studies at the University of Sydney on a Colombo Plan scholarship, graduating in 1970. He continued his training at Singapore General Hospital, earning a Master of Medicine (Paediatrics) in 1974, and later obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Paediatrics (FRACP) in 1978.
He also served as a senior lecturer in the Department of Paediatrics at the National University Hospital before entering private practice in 1982. Over the decades, Dr Vellayappan has become a familiar and beloved face to many patients. Fondly known as Dr Vella, he specialises in general paediatrics and well-baby care, and is particularly known for his expertise in managing childhood asthma and allergies.
Outside of medical practice, Dr Vellayappan is actively involved in spiritual affairs at his temple and served as a member of the Hindu Endowments Board from 2008 – 2020.
