Experience
Dr Kao Pao-Tang is a paediatrician at the International Baby Child and Adolescent Clinic (IBCA Clinic) at Parkway MediCentre, Singapore.
He specialises in children’s emergency care, providing expert treatment for acute conditions, trauma cases, and urgent medical situations. As the former Head of the Children’s Emergency Service at National University Hospital, Dr Kao is adept in managing paediatric emergencies, from severe illnesses to life-threatening injuries.
Dr Kao has made significant contributions to the field of paediatric urgent care, having participated in numerous research projects and published several papers in reputable medical journals.
In his role as an Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, he was instrumental in teaching and mentoring both undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, helping to shape the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Beyond his clinical and academic pursuits, Dr Kao was a dedicated member of the Paediatric Disaster Field Team, where he actively participated in emergency preparedness and response initiatives. He continues to contribute to child welfare as a panelist on the Independent Review Panel, Child Protection Service of the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), where he works to protect vulnerable children and young persons from abuse.
